Day 01 Arrival and Trekking through Knuckles Range

Morning: Departure from Colombo

Time: 6:00 AM
Departure: Pick-up from Colombo and travel to the Knuckles Mountain Range (approximately 4-5 hours' drive).
Highlights: Enjoy the scenic drive through Sri Lanka's picturesque countryside, passing tea plantations and rural villages along the way.

Late Morning: Arrival in Knuckles

Time: 11:00 AM
Accommodation: Check-in at a local guesthouse or eco-lodge near the Knuckles Mountain Range. Enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and prepare for the day's hike.
Rest: Quick freshen-up and light refreshments at the lodge.

Midday: Trek to Duvili Ella Waterfall

Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Highlights: Begin your trek by hiking towards Duvili Ella, a stunning waterfall nestled within lush greenery. The hike is moderate in difficulty and takes you through local villages and tranquil landscapes. Spend time enjoying the falls and taking photos.
Tip: Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a camera for some great photo opportunities.

Lunch in the Wilderness

Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Lunch: Enjoy a packed or picnic lunch in the middle of the hike, surrounded by the beauty of the forest.

Afternoon: Trek to Mini World’s End

Time: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Highlights: Continue your hike towards the famous Mini World’s End viewpoint, which offers dramatic views of the valleys below. The views are equally as spectacular as the well-known World’s End but with fewer crowds. Take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful environment.
Tip: Carry water and snacks to stay refreshed during the hike.

Evening: Return to Lodge & Relax

Time: 5:30 PM
Relaxation: Return to your lodge to unwind. Enjoy the cool mountain breeze and serene surroundings.
Dinner: A traditional Sri Lankan dinner will be served at your lodge, offering authentic local flavors made with fresh ingredients.

Day 02 Corbett’s Gap, Thepitiya Village & Departure

Morning: Breakfast with a View

Time: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Breakfast: Enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast at your lodge while taking in the stunning morning views of the Knuckles Range.

Trek to Corbett’s Gap

Time: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Highlights: After breakfast, embark on a scenic hike to Corbett’s Gap, one of the most well-known spots in the Knuckles Range. The hike will take you through thick forests, tea plantations, and offer stunning views of the mountains and valleys. Corbett’s Gap is named after the famous conservationist Jim Corbett.
Tip: Bring a light jacket as the mornings can be cool at higher altitudes.

Lunch in a Local Village

Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch in one of the local villages. The village community is warm and welcoming, offering you a taste of authentic rural life.

Visit Thepitiya Village

Time: 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Highlights: If time permits, visit Thepitiya Village, known for its coffee cultivation. This small, picturesque village is nestled in the mountains and offers a peaceful retreat. Take a stroll through the village, learn about coffee farming, and interact with the locals.
Tip: Take some time to sample locally grown coffee if available.

Late Afternoon: Return Journey to Colombo

Time: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Departure: After a fulfilling two-day adventure, begin the journey back to Colombo. Enjoy the scenic drive as you reflect on your experience in the Knuckles Mountain Range.
